We will take the old 15 Road from El Calafate, “the estancias’ road”, to get to the Estancia Nibepo Aike, where we will tour the grounds and enjoy the typical Patagonian lamb “al asador” in the “Quincho”.

After lunch, we will navigate the Argentino Lake to dock on Monedas’ Beach. This place makes ALL  the difference.  

The trail goes through lenga beech trees and, getting out of the thick forest, it leads down to Glaciar Sur’s viewpoint: a rocky beach with an exceptional view to the Perito Moreno Glacier. This spot is exclusive to the small groups of visitors doing this tour! 

Later, we will navigate across the Southern face of the glacier. We may have the chance to witness some ice break ups and appreciate the way the glacier front gets closer to the Magallanes Peninsula, occasionally overlaying on the rock and making a natural dam that gives birth to the famous “rupture”. 

Once at Bajo las Sombras Pier, the van will take us to the walkways, where we will enjoy wide views of the glacier for a good while.
