We take the old 15 Road from El Calafate, “the estancias’ road”, to get to Estancia Nibepo Aike, where we will  tour the grounds. Then, we will enjoy the typical Patagonian lamb “al asador” in the “Quincho”.

After lunch, the navigation through the Argentino Lake is started to reach Monedas’ Beach. This place makes ALL  the difference.  

The trail goes through lenga beeches and, getting out of the thick forest, it leads down to Glaciar Sur’s viewpoint: a rocky beach with an exceptional view to the Perito Moreno Glacier. This spot is exclusive to the small groups of  visitors doing this tour! 

Later, we navigate across the southern face of the glacier. We may have the chance to witness some ice break ups and appreciate the way the glacier front gets closer to the Magallanes Peninsula, occasionally overlaying on  the rock and making a natural dam that gives birth to the famous “rupture”. 

Once at Bajo las Sombras Pier, we take the van awaiting to take us to the walkways, where we will enjoy for a  good while wide views of the glacier.
