The tour departs from El Calafate and takes the legendary 40 Road northbound, allowing us to appreciate the
Argentino Lake, Santa Cruz and La Leona Rivers and the vast steppe.
After about 68 miles, we do a short visit to Parador La Leona, a historical site near the Viedma Lake. As the van
gets closer to El Chaltén, the impressive Mount Fitz Roy becomes the tour absolute main character.
Once at El Chaltén, we start the trek to Condores’ Viewpoint, a low difficulty 1-hour long uphill trek that leads to a
viewpoint of the mountain chain that surrounds the Fitz Roy and Torre Mounts.
After the trek, we will have lunch at a restaurant in town
.
In the afternoon, a short walk will take us to Chorrillo del Salto, a charming fall surrounded by lenga and ñire
beech trees.
Afterwards, we will have some free time in town, and then we will head back to El Calafate.
